ChatGPT literally made my client’s website sales go down and it could be doing the same to you.
So many business owners are turning to AI to help improve their websites, design their visuals, or provide ‘expert’ feedback on business decisions. What most people don’t realize is that ChatGPT doesn’t understand conversion strategy, long-term goals, or human psychology. And when you rely on it blindly, it can give you really bad advice.
Here is what happened with my client…
She was prepping for a launch, so I intentionally placed her sign-up form multiple times throughout the page to increase list growth and conversions. But instead of trusting the strategy she was paying for, she asked ChatGPT for feedback and it told her the forms were “repetitive” and should only appear once.
The truth is they were absolutely repetitive on PURPOSE! More call to actions mean more opportunity for people to get on her waitlist and purchase her products. Unfortunately, against my advice…she decided to listen to a robot over the human she hired (me) and I can say with confidence that her website is NOT designed to convert.
Chat GPT might be able to share a lot of data but it is not a design replacement for creative service providers. It’s also biased meaning it’s going to cater to what you want to hear…
To prove my point, I asked it the exact same question and even it said multiple forms drive more sign-ups.
Please don’t rely on a robot for your livelihood. It could be costing you opportunities without you even realizing it.
